This week marked a big step forward in the technical development of When We Come Together. Our team has begun coding our installation for the Kinect micro-tiles using TouchDesigner, the software that powers our interactive visuals.
This stage is all about bringing the experience to life-translating our concept into the responsive, interactive display that reacts to movement, light, and engagement. With the coding framework in place, we will start testing the installation directly on the mirco-tiles, making sure the visuals appear as intended and that the interaction feels natural and immersive.
The focus this week is on testing, refining, and debugging-working through any small issues or glitches and fine-tuning how the installation responds to viewers. These sessions are an important part of the creative process, helping us ensure that both the technical performance and the emotional experience of the piece align with our project's story and themes.
As testing continues, we're excited to keep adjusting and improving to bring When We Come Together to life- making it a true reflection of connection and light.
